#1: "We discussed information flow within organizations and the potential for your blogging project to introduce new demands on the organization for the exercise of authority and control of information. Discuss whether and how this potential disruption materialized in the course of your project."

I didnt notice any friction. Rhonda really wanted me to get her approval before any posts started going up, so I think she was a bit nervous, but after my first couple of posts she began to not worry as much and I was able to tell her what I was going to talk about and didnt need her apporval on every detail of the blog.

#2: "How readily did the organization adjust to new channels of information flow?"

Rhonda didnt know much about blogs at first or what they could be capable of, I think if the blog site was more publically advertised on a broshure or to the clients in general, people that were clients would be watching it more closely, if we had more time, and I had more lee-way with CCRI I think that could be accomplished, but I believe this helped them get alot better idea of what and where they could take this in the future.

#3: "How did this affect your efforts to develop a blog that could operate in support of the organization?"

I dont know how many people are actaully watching the blog, I think anything new like this is going to take more time then we had to actaully get some "loyal" readers that come to the site a couple of times a week. I havent recieved comments on my blog which doesnt mean people arent seeing it, but its hard to know what people are thinking about it. Hopefully all good things.

#4: "How readily and how clearly was authority defined?"

Right away. Rhonda said she wanted to approve any and all posts before they were published. At this point in time im more free but she still needs to clear my ideas before posting takes place.

#5: "How important an issue was this for the blogging project?"

It was important because sometimes Rhonda would be very busy and it would take a little time to make sure it was ok to post. But I think if someone was designated in the company to write for the blog, things would run more smoothly. It also helped when she began to know me better as well as trusting that I wouldent write any thing that might offend someone.

#6: “What could you and the organization have done differently to facilitate resolution of these issues?”

The only thing that I can think of is, if there were someone else that could go to that wasnt as busy as Rhonda, but I still would think that she would want to be in the know on everything going on with the blog. So there isnt really a better solution.

#7: "Report on your efforts to help the organization continue the blog after your departure from the project. Does the organization wish to continue the blog? Why? What arrangements have been/need to be made to continue the project? What is the timeline for this and what role will you play in preparing the organization for continued blogging?"

I dont think that she will be continueing the blog right now, I think its something that they would be thinking about in the future, but at the current point they dont have someone with the time to up-keep it, or the extra resources required for someone to want to up-keep it. One solution could be to use one of the staff as a volunteer or maybe even a realative of a client, but finding the right person for the job would be tuff, especially since it would be volunteer work.

I have my second staff interview up. My next post will have one with a family who is using CCRI to help them. As well as info on how to reach CCRI and get help for someone.

I have also mailed Rhonda about what she would like to do with the blog. So far I havent gotten a Response, Ill try mailing her again later on this week.

My first staff interview is up, it took a while b/c I couldent get in right away but these interviews will hopefully help people make descisions on becoming apart of the CCRI team as well as show people who is actaully working these jobs, if someone were considering using CCRI to help a friend or family member. Im currently researching more types of things that can cause disabilities in people. I think my blog is going well, I havent seen any comments yet, but the information I have is not really something to comment on, unless the person reading it had very strong feelings that they wanted to express, hopefully some people will get some good information that can help someone they know.

** I had to miss class on monday, due to a funeral. **

I did send my next blog post to rhonda again last week, I guess she hasnt gotten it yet or their is a problem with her email. I tried calling her today and I left a message to get a hold of me so we could figure this out, I also gave her the address to the blog. Hopefully she will approve my blog sometime soon so I can put up somemore posts.

Until then im kind of locked in what I can actaully write about without CCRI's approval.

I meet last friday with CCRI. We talked about what they would like to have written in the blog. Since october is disabilty awarness month they asked me to to and Awareness/ Info blog. I have sent out my first post for their approval and I am currently waiting for their reply before I post it. The audience is not for people with disabilities but its awareness for people without disabilities as well as families with relatives with disabilites, and the general public.

1. The target audience is anyone mentally/physically disabled, and anyone that would like to know more about CCRI and the programs and assistance they can offer to the mentally/physically disabled.

2. The audience will be able to give their own input on the blog as well as being able to check out the CCRI's web site and look at anything they would like to know more about, and inturn give CCRI business as well as help the person seeking help.

3. The want to create awareness of what CCRI does, is, and who it can help.

4. Yes they have done local advertising, and also run advertisements in the paper. These previous attempts have been sucessfull, they currently have over 400 people working with patients in the F/M area. They have not had any problems in advertising because what usally happends is that there is already someone not mentally/phsically disabled already taking care of the mentally/physically disabled person that would like help in the care taking process. There were no problems in this area.

5. What, who and why CCRI does what it does. Some short history of how and why they started. Local charity events used to raise money to help them. A general overview of how the patients can be helped or cared for.

6. The diffaculties I think are going to happen is that alot of people are not going to care unless they have a family member or friend that needs the kind of help CCRI can offer.

7. The executive manager Rhonda, and the tech guy they have there helps to. Rhonda will be approveing my posts.

8. The organization's website is: www.creativecare.org

9. Im going to get their input on what they would like it to be called, maybe f/m-creativecare to make people relate to it and get curious about what it is because they live in the f/m area.

10. I dont think we will link their website to the blog, but we will have a link within the blog to their site. They wanted to keep their main site and the blog separate, because they didnt want to make any changes to their current site, but if someone wanted more info b/c they saw the blog they wanted to include a link to their site so who ever wanted to could get more information about CCRI.

I contacted CCRI today and set up and apointment for this friday at 11am. I might try and get one sooner, depending on if I can get work off or not. We are going to discuss exactly what they want in the blog so I can start it up this weekend.

1. CCRI Working with people who have disabilities, and giving them the opppurtunity to be independent with some help.

2. The mission is to continue to help people with disabilities as well as get some new applicants who have qualify for the jobs they have available.

3. They do take donations, and they are funded by the state.

4. People with disabilities as well as families with a disabled family member(s).

5. The majority are college age people. And about 400 are all outside of the buisness it self and only about 50 work in the building.

6. They serve the F/M area.

7. There role is helping people with disabilities and making sure they have the same quality of life as everyone else.

8. Very dependent. If it werent for CCRI alot of people would not be takin care of as well as the burden on other people trying to do the job that is currenty being done for their friends and family.
